Born and educated in the Portsmouth area, Becky developed an interest in music at an early age, both in singing and playing the clarinet. She sung with a leading Portsmouth choir; the MGC, church choir and played with Highbury Area Band for a number of years whilst continuing her musical studies at South Downs College.

 

Her musical education continued at Bath Spa University, where she graduated in July 2009 with a BA (Hons) specialising in performance, both in clarinet and singing. Whilst studying, she took the lead roles of Pamina in Mozart’s, The Magic Flute, Susan in Company and Mayzie in Seussical the Musical. Since leaving university she has gained her Associate Diploma in Musical Theatre.

She continues to sing with the MGC Choir and is a member of the Hampshire Constabulary Band touring with them to St. Lucia in February 2010 and Malta in 2011. She is a member of South Downe Musical Society performing regularly in shows at the Kings Theatre in Portsmouth and Fareham's Ferneham Hall. Roles include; Brooke in Legally Blonde, Hodel in Fiddler on the Roof, the Mistress in Evita and Mrs Cratchit in A Christmas Carol.

Becky has been a Soprano soloist for performances of Faure’s Requiem, Rutter’s Requiem, Vivaldi’s Gloria and Mendelssohn’s Elijah.
